The Sartorialist just put out his first book and I was pleasantly surprised to find this picture inside! It is from an entire year ago when I was visiting NY for the LaChapelle opening at Tony Shafrazi Gallery, and was lucky enough to tag along as Joshua Courtney’s date to the Marc by Marc show. We met Scott Schuman (of TheSartorialist.com) outside and he took my picture!
I’m wearing a t-shirt by Brian Lichtenberg as a dress with a bra purchased moments before the show. I had been shopping with Joshua all day and, overwhelmed with excitement over having recently acquired his very first credit card, he begged to buy me something exorbitant from the racks of every boutique we entered (and I politely refused!) Finally, we came across this bra, to which he said, “I’ll buy this for you if you’ll wear it to the show as a top”. Done and done, and I never break a promise.
